our love story...

Laura and Evan met through mutual friends the summer of 2010 at 14 and 15 years old. The two became friends while he attended Catholic Central and she at Novi High School. They developed a very close, yet platonic friendship. The two would even give each other relationship advice— not knowing they'd end up together! Evan would help Laura with her homework (even though she didn’t actually need it— this was her excuse to talk to him more). After a year of friendship, the shy teen finally gained the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend. Laura's Dad was right all along. He always asked, "can you really just be friends with a boy?" and would reference the movie "When Harry Met Sally"...  

The two went through some of the most awkward and challenging (yet fun!) years of their lives together. Boy, high school was an interesting time, right?! The two supported each other at one another’s sporting events, goofed around, and went on many Applebee’s/Emagine theater movie dates. The two developed a great love and respect for each other all while sharing similar life goals, values, and morals. Later, Evan attended Michigan State to study Computer Science and Laura attended Oakley University to study Nursing. The distance apart is just what the couple needed to develop their individual identities and reach their professional goals— all while missing each other like crazy. Throughout the years, the two had many conversations about how they would achieve spending a lifetime together and begin building a family— the day is finally near! After two homecomings, one prom, two degrees, and seven years together, the two are ready to tie the knot. The two became happily engaged on February 10th, 2018. Laura and Evan are one another's best friends and are so grateful and excited to do life together.
